Two-day Safety Conference Coming to Eugene
"2010: A Safety Odyssey"

 

Workers and employers are invited to attend the Cascade Occupational Safety and Health Conference, a two-day conference March 9-10, 2010, at Eugene’s Valley River Inn, located at 1000 Valley River Way, that is designed to highlight the latest safety and health information.

 

The training, designed for anyone who wants to improve on-the-job safety and health performance, is built around the theme, "2010: A Safety Odyssey." Conference attendees can take advantage of a networking session, along with workshops focused on hazard identification, safety leadership, and accident investigation techniques. 2-Day Fall Protection: Train the Trainer by D-2000 Safety

Lead Instructor: Jim McNeil, BSIM, MSIR and ASSE Safety Professional of the Year 2009

 

Each Attendee will receive:

 

· Two full days of fall protection training suitable for both general industry and construction.

· D-2000 Train-the-Trainer workbook with leader guides, checklists, manuals, and Power Point presentations.

· Hands-on training will include actual suspension in a harness, a fall protection equipment drop test demonstration, and real-world inspection of fall protection equipment. Also includes discussion of rescue techniques for a suspended worker.

 

Those who successfully complete both days of training will receive a certificate from D-2000 Safety identifying them as a certified fall protection trainer.

 

Light lunch and snacks are included on both days.
