If you’re interested in helping shape the 2010 Southern Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Conference, consider joining the conference planning committee. The committee, chaired by Debra Curran, meets at the Smullin Center on the third Thursday of each month. Contact Debra via e-mail debra.curran@providence.org to ask to be added to the committee mailing list. The 2010 conference is scheduled for October 20 and 21 at Medford’s Smullin Center.

AWARDS APPLICATIONS FOR RECOGNITION AT THE SOUTHERN OREGON SAFETY CONFERENCE

Deadline August 31, 2010

 

Every year, we honor outstanding safety committees, employer safety and health programs, and lifesavers at the fall conference. Award applications are now available. Consider nominating a deserving safety committee for public recognition, or showcase impressive results from an employer’s outstanding safety and health program. Individuals who have used skills learned on the job to save a life – or demonstrated heroic life-saving efforts – are eligible for a Lifesaving Award if they do not perform lifesaving as part of their regular job duties.

 

Applications must be received by 5 PM August 31, 2010. For more information contact Mike Hill (mikeh@sor.timberproducts.com) or Mary Hoskins (marhos@saif.com) Award recipients will be selected by a committee comprised of ASSE and OSHA representatives. They will be honored at the conference during the noon hour on Thursday, October 21.
